Welcome to 2019 !

The attached Statistic report and OMREB media release give details how 2018 wrapped up. The overall suggestion is a more balanced market between Buyers vs Sellers.

Buyers may think it’s best to wait for further corrections and Sellers may think it’s better to wait for the market to recover before selling, however, timing is all relative and if the price is right, timing is always right for when you’re ready to make a move.

With regards to Speculation Tax, just  a reminder to keep an eye open:

All residential property owners in the designated taxable regions will have to complete an annual declaration to claim any relevant exemptions. Where there are multiple owners of a home, a declaration must be completed for each owner. Further information on how to declare will be mailed to all owners of residential property within the taxable regions by mid-February.
