TRANSITION TAX

Bye Bye Transition Tax

Government introduced a transition tax when H.S.T. was eliminated. If construction on a home was 10% complete as at April 1, 2013 and the closing was before April 1, 2015, the government charged an additional 2% tax.

As of April 1, 2015 there will no longer be transitional tax.
